At Venalink, innovation begins with listening. That’s why our collaboration with Day Lewis Pharmacy, one of the early adopters of both our latest Qube™ Pro product launch and our customised online ordering portal, has been so impactful. Together, we’ve been working toward a shared goal: making medication management simple and consistent.
When it came time to develop our latest adherence packaging innovation Qube™ Pro, Day Lewis Pharmacy wasn’t just a customer; they were a key development partner. Their team provided real-world insights that helped shape both the product design and the user experience. “Pharmacies like Day Lewis help us bridge the gap between design and daily practice.” said Mark McArdle, Managing Director at Venalink. “It drives us forwards.”
During the development phase, the Day Lewis team tested Qube Pro prototypes, evaluated materials, and shared their workflow challenges. Their input led to improvements in both design and sealing, meaning a final product designed to streamline the process in both manual and automated environments. When asked if he’d change anything about the pack now it’s been in use for several months, Danny McNally, Pharmacy Process Improvement Manager at Day Lewis gives an assertive no. “The cards are of excellent quality. We showcased them at our annual conference last year and the feedback was positive. With the new online ordering portal that went live in January, the ordering process is simple and we’re expecting the same level of praise that we received last year”
As Mark explains, “We’ve always believed that the best products come from collaboration with the people who use them every day. The feedback from Day Lewis at senior and branch level helped us to refine Qube Pro, so that it fit seamlessly into busy pharmacy environments.”
Venalink’s new online shop launch created the ideal opportunity for Day Lewis to bring their new personalised product ordering online. Venalink developed a customised online portal, tailored specifically for Day Lewis branches. “Danny’s early feedback was crucial in fine-tuning the platform,” says Mark. “His assistance while we designed the portal with our developers ensured it worked perfectly for the branches.”
The platform allowed each branch to browse and order their own personalised products, ensuring consistency and convenience across locations. To support a smooth rollout, Venalink developed guide materials and contacted each branch, ensuring each team had the tools and knowledge to order with confidence.
“From going live, it has been absolutely seamless” says Danny. “It’s very efficient, from availability to deliveries, which always arrive on time, we never have any problems. The process has been incredibly positive.”
Thanks to partners like Day Lewis, this platform is now available to pharmacy groups nationwide. To enquire about a custom ordering platform for your pharmacy, contact us via our online form here
